Web to Cash supports
the Digital Check TS200 Scanner, which is a NACHA compliant, full-duplex
check scanner that is small enough to be used at a teller window or
counter for ARC, POP and RCK check scanning. Simple and easy to use, a
single pass scans both sides of the check and immediately displays the
check data in Web to Cash for processing. The images will be available in
the Web to Cash report module where they can be viewed online, printed,
emailed or downloaded.
Basic computer skills, knowledge of the Internet,
Internet Explorer, and the Web to Cash system
are required to install and use scanner.
Scanner System Requirements
Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP
operating system and Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater. If you are running
Windows NT 4.0, Service pack 6A with high encryption (128 bit) must be
installed. The following security settings must be designated as enabled
in Internet Explorer for the Web to Cash software to download properly:

the A drive. If the auto detection of drivers on the floppy disk is not
successful, the wizard will allow you to browse to the exact path of the
drivers. Browse to the directory “A:\W98-W2000 USB Drivers” and
continue.
-
The operating system
will ask you to reboot the system for the appropriate change to take
affect. Select “Yes”. If you do not reboot the system the drivers will
not function properly.
After the USB drivers have been installed, the necessary Web to Cash
software must be downloaded to the client computer.

Login to Web to Cash
and select “Scan Checks”
-
The first time a
check is scanned the system will download the necessary drivers to run
the scanner in Web to Cash. A security warning message will appear
asking, “Do you want to install and run VENIMG.CAB?” Click “Yes” to

The scanner is now
ready to scan checks for Web to Cash.
Scanner Installation for Windows NT 4.0
In order to install the
appropriate drivers successfully, the initial user that is downloading the
drivers must have write permissions to the system folders and registry
(usually the system Administrator). Once the necessary drivers are
installed, any user can scan checks through Web to Cash.
Windows NT clients need
a special upgrade added on to their systems to allow the ActiveX objects
to execute correctly. The necessary OCX resides in Microsoft’s
self-installer comctlzp.exe, which is located on a provided disk or can be
found at
http://www.microsoft.com.
-
Copy comctlzp.exe to the machine that is going
to run the scanner.
-
Double click on the application.
The application will install two new files, COMCTL32.exe and README.txt,
into the directory in which you executed the application.
-
Double click on COMCTL32.exe to
load the driver. When the driver is finished installing, it will display
a message box that reporting that the driver loaded successfully.
-
Reboot the system.
After installing the
drivers that support the ActiveX objects, the USB drivers to run the
scanner must be installed.
- Plug in the power cord and
connect USB cable to the computer.
- Turn on the scanner and reboot
the computer.
- Insert the floppy disk that
contains the USB drivers into the computer. You can either copy the
contents of the floppy disk to the system's hard drive or you can run the
installation directly from the floppy disk.
- Select the “NT USB Drivers”
directory.
- Run the batch file
InstallDriver.bat by double clicking on the filename. NOTE: If the WINNT
directory is located on a different hard disk drive in your computer, you
must modify the first line of the InstallDriver.bat file to reflect the
proper location of the operating system.
- Switch off power to the TS200
scanner.
- Shut down and reboot the
computer system.
- Power on the scanner after the
system has completed the boot up sequence.
Finally, the Ventanex
drivers need to be installed to the computer.
- Login into Web to Cash and
choose the “Scan Checks” link.
- The first time a check is
scanned the system will download the necessary drivers to run the scanner
in Web to Cash. A security warning message will appear asking, “Do you
want to install and run VENIMG.CAB?” Click “Yes” to continue. If this
OCX is not downloaded, then the TS200 Scanner will not function properly.
- When the system finishes
downloading the OCX, the system will request a reboot
before the OCX can be used. Reboot the computer now, or
cancel and save any applications that maybe active.
You must reboot the system so the changes in the
registry can take affect.
- The scanner is now ready
to scan checks for Web to Cash.
